It's the same game remade for the more techicly powerful DS, there's better localization bringing out more story from the SNes, PS1 and GBA renditions but told in visualy better sequences with voice over acting for the main acts.
The story pretty much unfolds the same way, new lines and stuff thrown in here and there
The new additions, i didn't honestly care about, Rydia's summoner Whyt, augments, you can also switch on auto battle to do the work for you but why in the world would you??. It's not final fantasy to me so i didn't care to even use them and you can still beat the game as i did without them so i'm just saying.
The game makes use of the two screens with no stylus controls what so ever.
I'm very very certain its been dumbed down and made easier and i found myself really disagreeing with that.
